  1. Connect account type (Standard/Express/Custom) — sets your compliance surface
  2. Fee model — application fee vs. separate charges and transfers
  3. Payout timing — instant, daily, or scheduled per seller
  4. Refund routing — platform-funded vs. seller-funded, decided before launch
  5. Dispute handling — who absorbs a chargeback, contractually and technically
